Greetings to all Dr Who Fans , In the last couple of years I have had the pleasure of meeting a number of Dr Who fans at Science Fiction Conventions. Some of the fans requested that I add a Dr Who page to my web site and here it is . In between the years 1981 - 1986 I appeared as a walk-on or extra in six Dr Who episodes with three different Doctors . I have listed below all the information I have on the episodes in which I appeared along with any recollections I have of the filming . Please accept my apologies for any lapses of memory but it was over 20 years ago and I have been hit on the head a number of times since then ! Richard Bonehill . Series 18 : 116 Production Code 5V Episode Title LOGOPOLIS Part SECURITY GUARD Description WALK-ON 1 / EXTRA Location BBC Receiving Station , Crowsley Park Recording Dates 18th December 1980 , 9th January 1981 First Transmission Dates 1 28/02/81 2 07/03/81 3 14/03/81 4 21/03/81Dr Who Tom Baker Recollections : Probably my greatest Dr Who claim to fame is that I played the security guard that chased Tom Baker up the radio tower where he fell to the ground and transformed into Peter Davidson . Being filmed in December I remember it being a particularly cold and windy day making the climb up the tower rather unpleasant . Series 19 : 123 Production Code 6C Episode Title TIME FLIGHT Part FLIGHT ENGINEER Description WALK-ON 1 Location Concorde Hanger , Heathrow Airport . Recording Dates 8th January 1981 First Transmission Dates 1 22/03/82 2 23/03/82 3 29/03/824 30/03/82 Dr Who Peter Davison Recollections ; This was the first time that British Airways had allowed Concorde to be used for a drama . I was lucky in being cast as the Flight Engineer . The part required me to sit in the co-pilots seat in the cockpit - I was under strict instructions not to touch any switches on the control panel - knowing my grip of electronics a very wise precaution ! I remember being astonished how small and cramped the flight deck was . I feel honoured that I am one of the small band of ‘aviators’ who have had the pleasure of being seated at the ‘sharp end’ of is without doubt the most beautiful aeroplane every created . I was however almost responsible for a disasters of epic proportions. I was spotted by a member of the ground crew having a quick cigarette between takes under the wing of the plane . The engineer explained to me that Concorde was fuelled by highly enviable aviation fuel and smoking anywhere in the aircraft was definitely a bad idea ! ![]()
